PDFs are the easiest file type to print from an iPhone because iOS handles them natively — no third-party apps, no conversions. Whether your PDF lives in Files, an email, Safari, or the Books app, here's how to print it in under a minute.

Method 1: Print a PDF from the Files App

The Files app is where most PDFs end up — email attachments you saved, downloads from Safari, AirDropped files, and iCloud Drive documents.

  1. Open the Files app on your iPhone.
  2. Browse to the folder containing your PDF (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or Downloads).
  3. Tap the PDF to open it in the iOS PDF viewer.
  4. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Scroll down and tap Print.
